Carnivorous Plants are plants that attract, capture and kill its prey (small insects). It will digest and absorb the nutrients and this is what makes it a carnivores plant. There are over 400 different types of plants.

So where are these killer plants from? Believe it or not they grow all over the world including right here in the United States. Sorry no trips to an exotic tropical island. The most famous of all carnivorous plants is native to the Carolinas, The Venus Fly Trap.

They are exotic , beautiful,  and affordable plants.  My plants are healthy and hardy and will be shipped with  minimum stress  to the plant .  Each plant will arrive with a care sheet. Buy one today and you are guaranteed hours of  fun and enjoyment.

Venus Fly Trap: The most famous of all carnivorous plants. They are only native to the coast lines of the Carolinas. A small insect lands on the plant pads and the plant closes and traps its prey inside. Contrary to popular belief, you can not feed them hamburger meat because their digestive system is too delicate to process complex food sources. However the Fly Trap can digestive small bugs like pill bugs, pinheads, or small spiders. Price: $7.95.

The Hooded Pitcher: This plant is native from north eastern Florida to eastern Mississippi. These pitchers are generally green with a coppery-red color near the upper portions of the pitcher. They grow vertically and will usually reach an average height of 12-15 inches. This plant is one of the most effective carnivorous plants. It lures its prey by secreting nectar around the lip of the pitcher. The nectar paralyses the insect and it falls into the tube. Price: $7.95.

Sundews: This plant lives in boggy areas around the world. They are beautiful little plants, often tinged with red, and covered with a sticky glue that glistens in the sunlight like dewdrops! They exude a sweet-smelling nectar, which attracts gnats, fruit-flies, and other small insects. Once they have captured their prey, they absorb and digest it’s body fluids. Price: $7.95.

Plants are shipped pre-potted, via USPS Priority Mail unless otherwise indicated or requested.  Shipping & Handling charges are a flat $10.00 for unlimited plants via this method!  Please inquire if you wish them to be shipped by another method.  I normally ship plants Mondays and Tuesdays to avoid them having to spend the weekend in a hot or cold storage facility.
