Here is a list of some of our superstars!
Seti--
Our
resident celebrity. He is a stunning Albino Green Burmese Python. Unlike
normal Burmese he is a solid yellow color. He looks like a giant banana. In the
wild he would not survive due to his coloring. But here in Las Vegas he is a star.. He
is one of our most requested animals. A true gentle giant, and he loves having his picture
take. He is also one of Neferteri's (The Belly Dancer) favorite dance partner.
Electra- Black and White Argentine Tegu. One of South America largest lizard. She will grow to 4 feet in length 60 pounds. She is smart and loves to eat baby food.
Pandora-Aranophobia, no this is beautiful aroid is a Rose Hair Tarantula, original from Chile. The are very popular pet because of their gentle nature.
Reda-Borneo Black Blood Python, Native to the island of Borneo. Their body is brown like their cousin the Ball Python but their head and sometimes neck can be red or orange. They are decreasing in number due to human predation.
Joharah-
Is a Blue and Gold Macaw. Macaws are native
to South American Rainforest. The feathers of the Blue and Gold Macaw are long
and colorful. Like other parrots the Macaws can imitate human voices. They can
be trained to perform in public. Unfortunately the Blue and Gold Macaws are
disappearing because their habitat is being destroyed. So take an opportunity to
see one up close and personal.
Bacardi-Crested Gecko, also called a Frilled Gecko. Thought to be extinct, but a colony was found in 1991 in New Cadelina. The frill over their eyes give the illusion of having eye lashes. One of the few lizard with a prehensile tail (a tail that grips).
Esmerlda-A Mexican Red Knee Tarantula. This tarantula has been in films such as "Raiders of the Lost Ark", a couple James Bond series, and many others. The Mexican Red Knee Tarantula is known to be one of the longest living tarantula species, with females living up to 30 years. Due to their popularity they are on the endanger species list and can no longer be exported out of Mexico.
Sharif--Brazilian Rainbow Boa Constrictor-Native to South America can be found in the rain forest. A beautiful Boa, orange in color with hues of pink and purple that become iridescence when the light hits them, (no picture does them justice).
Nabila- Yes dinosaurs still exist. Nabila is a Savannah Monitor from the mother land Africa. She will reach approximately 5 to 6 feet. Ours is leash train and loves having her eye lobes rub. They are known for being docile and can make great pets.. Unlike some of our animals they are thriving very well in the wild.
Quequay-
Red Lorded Amazon Parrot He is native
to Central America and the Amazon River.
Unfortunately, the Red-Lored Amazons are on the
endangered species list (Number II) for natural occurrence in its native
origins, so you can no longer import them. Parrots are highly intelligent (which
is why they can speak), they also love attention and affection. Quequay
does talk and will greet you with his name.
Medusa--Emperor Scorpion, or should we say Empress Scorpion. The Emperor Scorpion is a very large, impressive, and hardy scorpion from tropical Africa. Wild-caught specimens are usually collected in Togo and Ghana. It is also the one of the only species of scorpion that is known to be handle, yet this is not recommended. The Emperor Scorpions are popular animals in scary movies, because they are big, black, and they can have close contact with actors. The venom is used infrequently, and is generally not harmful to humans.
Shakira- Dumeril's Boas are a species of snakes native to only Madagascar. They are known as ground Boas. Dumeril Boas are known for being large like their cousin the Columbia Boas, but are stunning with their combination of brown and pink patterns.
